So I have reached the spot in my book where I need to start looking for an agent to represent me and my book. Not exactly sure how to go about doing that, but I am looking. It is really scary to think about letting these characters go, as they are so much a part of me, but I know that it is time. I only hope that other people like my story and my characters as much I do. I take comfort in the fact that I have had people read what I have so far and give me constructive criticism and they have asked for more of the story, when they normally don't read this particular genre. It helps me continue.
I read an interview once with an author that said that they had first met the characters when...I didn't understand that at the time but I do now. My characters are real to me, and they are begging me to tell their stories.
